The Blue River Festival features a 10 kilometer walk/run every year. The festival is one of the more popular Shelbyville events of the late Summer and early Fall. The festival marks the transition of seasons and it helps celebrate the harvest. It also serves as a pleasant diversion in what would otherwise be a stressful time. The celebrations let people relieve the stress related to the start of the school semesters and the busy season. When the races are over, people want to know who won each event.I found some more information here.

The winner of the 10 kilometer walk/run gets published on the event-s website. Craig Lubbe took first place with a time of 40 minutes and thirty seconds. Jim Evans cam in a close second with a time of 43 minutes and six seconds. Rick Weaver cam in a close third. Weaver finished with a time of 43 minutes and seventeen seconds.

This years event may be over. Runners and joggers who want to join in the fun will have to wait for another year. If a reader just wants to know which runners finished well in the race, they have found information on the top three. The remaining top runners are on the webstie.
