The 32nd Annual Bears of Blue River Festival was a whirlwind of music, food and fun. Held on the weekend of August 20th and 21st, the festival ushered out the summer with a splash. With plenty of games and activities for all ages, the festival is always a great family outing. The festival provides a true summer weekend that will create memories for a life time.
Starring hit country duo Cook and Belle, along with singer songwriter Casey Jamerson, the music kept toes tapping and toddlers dancing all weekend long. Great vocal talent and country music influenced by soul and gospel is the hallmark of Cook and Belle. Casey Jamerson is a young and talented country artist making a name for herself in Nashville at only 21 years old.
The annual 10K race had spectators cheering. First place went to Tom Webster, who finished with a speedy pace of 5:55 per mile. Julie Steenbarger came in first of the women, at a pace of 7:51.
